I use it
I have used this stuff for about 2 years. The first time I tried it, I sanded, cleaned, and spent about two days applying it. I put about 10 coats of the dull finish (#1). Then 5 coats of the gloss finish (#2) the next day. The tempature was around 100° in the cabin. So I could get a lot of coats on. I have a hunter 26.5 so there isn't alot of floor to do. It came out really beautiful. The downside was that I used the boat the next day. The wind was excellent, and in the summertime, you have to take what you can get. Needless to say I ruined the finish. It needs a good 72 hours to cure fully. I would even give it a week. The floor came out kinda dull and you could actually see feetprints where we were wet and had stepped moinths later. Last year though, I again sanded, not to the wood, but removed several coats, buffed out and applied only the gloss finish, it came out wonderful. Just like advertised. This year though, I am taken back down to the wood to remove some imperfections. And going to reapply, the same 15 coats. I can only say that you MUST CLEAN the wood as best as possible. I am planning on cleaning untill it comes out like new. I will do whatever it takes to fill some imperfections, because once you use this stuff, the wood really comes through. You can see every detail. So cleaning is step one. Do not even go to step two untill you are satisfied with the results of your floor.Cheers TJ
