Teak Replacement Step for 1998 Hunter 45CC

My bottom step has split (in the stairway from the cockpit to below) and I need a new one...any suggestions on where to find a replacement?

I would agree with Rick. Take the old one over to them (H&L) and they can probably repair it or make you a new one. Pictures are always helpful.

Step

Rather than have someone fabricate a replacement, why not glue the split piece together. Properly done the glue joint will be as strong or stronger than the original. Can you post a picture of the split step? Then again if money is not an issue...

Sorry...didn't see your response til now

I had tried gluing the step but it kept splitting afterwards, cuz it's the bottom one and I kept treading on the side. So I tried one more time and swapped it out for a step that's higher up. It's holding fine now and I have learned to be more careful to put my feet in the center.

What type of glue did you use? I would suggest Gorilla glue if what you used does not hold. The only down side of this type of glue is that it expands so you need to clean up after it cures.
