To All, Have been trying to locate a source for teak floor tiles,1/2 in thick and 12 by 12 in square. Not interested in a sheet of teak plywood,just tiles. Have found 2 sources,one in England and one in Bahrain.Neither can ship to the US. Thanks, Claus

How about tongue and groove planks?
Claus: You may have better luck with Teak Tongue & Groove lumber. If you are set on teak floor tiles, I suggest that you contact a wood flooring store. I am sure that they have this stuff for a home. You will probably be dealing with a veener instead of solid wood.

I thought Burmese teak was too
expenisve. My understanding was most of the teak used today was from farms set up by the British years ago (God love the British for thinking that far in advance). It is an inferior prodct and has not done a lot for teak's reputation. You might want to do a search on "Teak lumber" on google. When I was replacing my floorboards, I found a lot of good teak for about $40/sq foot. Too expensive for me so I went with the plywood with Teak

believe or not i just received 40 board feet that i purchased in two lots. one was $80.00, and the other was $69.00. it is quality teak, but is rough lumber so it has to be planed. the guy i bought it from said that he regularly sells teak and mahogany on e-bay. just go there and do a search on teak lumber
