I have an ex-Moorings Beneteau 440 that is now just over 10 years old. She spent 8 years in Charter service in the Caribbean. In a number of places the teak slatting in the cockpit and on the stern is lifting from the rubberised sealant. (It gets very wet underneath and squelches water when stood on!) I would like to make a project of restoring these area while aboard this winter. Can anyone help with recommendations on the methodology or perhaps point me to a site where I can get relevant information. Has anyone actually tackled this themselves or is it necessary to go to a woodworking boat builder to get this work done with proper quality? Thanks for any help. Steve Brockhouse (Toronto)
