Recent Ernesto damage has currupted our teak and holly sole from our 1987 28 Cal...... Need to remove the non-screwed decking either by 'wonderbar' or heat.... Any advice appreciated... Frank

Thanks John

Wow, that is really a necessary extreme....seems that there would have been a better way to install the sole....now looking into placing a laminate over the existing flooring...thanks Frank

Veneers

Hi Frank, You're T/H sole is probably a veneer or an 1/8" ply that was epoxied to the fiberglass flooring. Use a belt sander to make sure that you have a smooth even surface, then laminate a new veneer or thin ply over the top of the old. Use West Systems 105 resin, 205/206 hardner, and the 407 filler. Your looking at around $50-60 in West Systems epoxy, and maybe another $100-150 for the ply. John

is what I put on the sole of my boat. It is standing up very well. Water will not damage it. http://www.lonsealspecialty.com/lonwdteakholly.html
