I thought some of you might be interested in the following; I gave up on my Snake River tank monitoring system and switched to a replacement system manufactured by New Providence Marine Systems. Seems the guys making and selling this system are quite familiar with Snake River products and their system is effectively a wire for wire replacement. You can even use the same foils that are on the tanks Had a little trouble installing the system Saturday (operator error), and almost before I could complete my question, they had me on a conference call with the engineer. Not once but twice. Remember this was Saturday. Now that is service! System is now operational and has some very nice operating variances that I do not believe were in my Snake River System To buy the system I went on the internet to Ferriello Sales I recommend anyone looking to replace the Snake River Sysyem, take a look at this one. Waht wasthe problem with S-R?

Forgive me if I missed a previous thread on your system. I would like to know what problem(s) you had with the S-R system and how the New Providence Marine Systems product is different. It seems to me that when I looked at these systems that they were essentially equivalent. Did I miss something?

What you missed, Rich, is...

Dennis Feriello was Snake River's national sales manager for a number of years. He and SR came to parting of ways 2-3 years ago that was NOT amicable. Dennis had not been happy with the deteriorating quality of SR products, so he hired SR's head of engineering--who was equally unhappy--and started his own competing company. So yes, the Profile gauges made by New Providence Marine ARE very similar in design to the SR systems, but very different in quality...not only the products, but customer service too. IMO, their best "bang for the buck" in the industry.
