Peggy, I am in the process of installing a holding tank in my sailboat. I would like to have some system of tank level indication or alarm installed to prevent ever over filling the tank. I like the Snake River system you have recommended but I cannot justify the expense for my 34 year old boat. Can you please recommend a more economical system? VR, Dave

You won't do any better than the SN AcuGage

It's the least expensive gauge that does more than let you know when the tank is full...and for about $10 more than just the single tank "mini," you can put your water tank on it too. It's also the only reasonably priced system that puts the sender on the outside of the tank instead of inside to get clogged up. The age of your boat is irrelevant...a well maintained fiberglass hull can easily last at least another 30 years. Treat her like the "dowager queen" that she is...'cuz going with the cheapest replacements and add-ons means they fail sooner, costing more in the long run in addition to de-valuing a good boat.
