My holding and water tank gauges both read 3/4 full when empty and full when full. Has anyone had this problem?

sticky senders

the holding tank guage on my 310 does the same. the sender float in the tank gets stuck and won't fall down as the tank empties (so much for gravity). Giving the sender a good wack with the palm of the hand will often unstick it for a while. I presume the same is happening to you, but the sender may not be easily accessible. Maybe some debris is jamming it. solution: remove and replace/clean sender. or live with it.

Best--and permanent--solution:

Replace the whole thing with an AcuGage, which is what Hunter has switched to...they no longer use the Wema gauges. Sender never comes in contact with the contents, so it can't clog up. Check 'em out in the online store here...and on their website at http://www.snake-river.org

tank gaugeS problem

On my 95 336, the water tank gauge has read full since late last season, the fuel gauge has read empty since middle of last season and my holding tank gauge has read empty since I bought the boat 2.5 years ago (and this after replacing this sensor once and the new one worked for only about a month). I have tapped and banged, and sailed or motored some rough waters but nothing has woken up these gauges. It is the water tank gauge that I miss the most; the others I can judge fairly well. Next Fall or Spring I will deal with the three of them.
