The other day I had the opportunity to run over a line while the engine was going slowly forward- it immediately stopped and the engine was shut off quickly. After about 45 minutes diving in the murky Chesapeake- I was able to cut off most of the lineexcept some that was around the shaft. With a line of thunderstorms approaching- I was able to restart the engine easily with a big puff of blue black smoke and motor slowly back to me- the transmission seemed fine allowing me to shift easily- it too k about 30 minutes to get home. The engine seemed(sounded) fine and the speed seemed fine as well- with the usual vibration. When i was docked I dove again and found the shaft basically free of all line- is there anything I should do or check to make sure there was no damage to the engine, shaft or prop (yes, I'll watch out for liens) Thanks for your input
