TAMPA BAY MARINAS??

We are contemplating a move to the Tampa BAy area. We will be looking for a good marina that will also be relatively close to the airport (TPA). Wew ill be living somewhere within 45 mins of the airport. ANy ideas on a good marina? One that would also make a good, SAFE, SECURE hurricane-hole????

the best marinas are in st petersburg...i suggest the harborage, which has floating docks, or the st pete municipal marina

Tampa tends to be too pricy, try St. Pete. They have numerous marina's that aren't too far from down town Tampa. As for a hurricane hole, it completely depends on whether the storm hits above or below your marina. The only one I can think of off hand is in Apollo Beach (Hillsborough County), it is actually in a "hole". good luck with your search.
