I must live a charmed life, I get very few ads on YouTube. Wasn't always the case and I'm not complaining now. :)

Nice videos. Sorry to read about the flat.

I've only recently noticed ads on YouTube. The annoying ones are the ones that pick a seemingly random spot in the middle of the video to interrupt. At least on old network television, commercial interruptions were designed into the shows. Much less jarring.

I had. Free trial of You Tube premium for a while…it was great. No advertising.

but then my free trial ran out:confused:

goofy thing is I have ads on my own videos, and I have NEVER gotten a penny from You Tube. I think I usually have some music in the background, and I think any payment goes to the musician . They must need it more than me.

YouTube has some requirements before you see any money. You have to have a certain number of subscribers and meet some total views before they cut you in on the deal. And then you get next to nothing, unless you're really big.

Although I am set up to monetize Rumble, I will not do it for SBO posts.:badbad:

I have one to monetize for repairing my Expedition Auto window register, step by step thing.:pimp:

Jim...

PS: I may post a Rumble test soon

I toyed with the idea of doing a YouTube Channel, but when I exchanged emails with a gentleman from Australia who was monetized my suspicions were confirmed. Even after working to get 1,000+ subscribers. I remember he said he got about $500 a year in ad revenue. Sounds like it's not worth the trouble unless you just enjoy making the videos anyway.

I just like to document stuff… if it is helpful to others, even better. I enjoy making “how to” videos mostly, but documenting sailing adventures and experiences is fun to me.
