Tall Ships - NYC

The tall ships will be coming from the south up the east coast for the parade into NY harbor at the end of May. I was thinking of trying to find them as they sail past the NJ coast and have a look. Is there any way to find out their routes or locations? Are there any special regulations regarding approaching them. Don't want to get pulled over by the Coast Guard.

Just make sure your drugs and weapons aren't on board when your looking for tall ships just in case the coasties decide to check you out

One of the ships, I don't remember which, had a "spot" site that was available.. ya might be able to find more here: http://www.opsail.org/
The city of New Orleans had set up streaming video of the docks .. I was able to watch live as the tall ships came in and tied up..

The Indonesian tall ship Dewaruci, one of the ships which was just in New Orleans, will be coming up your way. Here's a link with a schedule. It was pretty cool.

The tall ships look a bit messed up. Two separate groups overlapping in dates but going different places. The tall ships are split between the two groups.

And when you read the web sites, it looks like plans are not quite figured out.

Too bad they didn't find a way to combine resources.
