Tall Ships 1812 Tour

We spent yesterday at the Brockville Tall Ship 1812 Tour (http://www.tallshipsbrockville.com/).

It was a great day, weather was good, did a 90 minute sail on the Empire Sandy in the 1000 Islands of Lake Ontario.

They are majestic, but I lost a great deal of interest or "romanticism" for them, after Bounty was lost. I had no clue all these ships were operated and maintained by a bunch of pot headed nautical thespians.

The tall ships will be in Toronto harbour this coming weekend.

We will of course avoid the landlocked crowds and view the ships from the comfort of our sailing vessel. Then we will cross the harbour to the islands and sip drinks at QCYC. Maybe even stay for dinner.

Well, hell, it worked in 2010 - the last time the tall ships were in. Why mess with success?
