Tall rig wing keel

Would like some feedback from experienced Catalina 30 owners mid 90's model. Looking at a tall rig with a wing keel, how's the performance is it stable and solid to sail, will it point to wind in a big wind is this boat tippy, can I sail her in some offshore areas. Basically is the wing keel over powered by a Tall rig sail. I'm a sailer of limited experience,had a Capri for years and looking to make the move up...really appreciate whatever advice you all have especially from those that may have the same tall rig setup and a ing keel

I sail a '93 Cat30TR/WK mostly on the Chesapeake Bay, but have sailed her off shore. Only issue of those you mention that might be of concern is pointing performance. I improved mine substantially by replacing my 150 genoa with a new 125 - gained 10-15 degrees to the wind. The boat is solid in Bay and off shore, sails best when more upright (sail trim). WK is a liability if you're going to race (not the best racer in any event), and harder to get free if (when) you go aground VERY satisfied with my Cat30; hard to beat as a modest sized cruising boat.
