HOW TO REMOVE TILLER FROM 27 hunter 77 model year
(MAKE SURE RUDDER IS TIED ON TO BOAT IF NOT ON THE HARD.) 
After removing the tiller, the upper SS Cap that the tiller attaches to (Cap fits inside the SS 2” rudder tube and is held in by a 1/2 " SS nut and bolt) Cap must be removed in order to drop the rudder and post down and out. It is not screwed in just a sung fit.
The whole rudder is held on buy a hard plastic/nylon washer that’s 3" wide and about 1" thick. Located at bottom of rudder post and deck.
It has a SS 1/4" Nut & Bolt thru it & the 2" SS Rudder tube; this holds the whole rudder up.
