Taking down mast

The easiest Take the boat over to a boat yard where they have a crane. but Im sure you know that. It the mast steps on deck and you can get it on the back side of a float with an overhanging porch you can probably get a line around the mast and two men can lift it out and lower it to two people on deck. Theres a guy at my club with a coronado 25 thats been doing this for years. He saves the $100 that the yard charges to lift the mast out with a crane and secure it on deck, but this same guy also uses clothesline for sheets and halyards. I think he`s been lucky I wouldnt try it. One mishap is going to cost a lot more than $100. A 26 ft boat is to big for this. MY Opinion Bob Fox P26w #76 Whitecap
