It drops below freezing here. Should I run/turn over my water cooled engine out of the water to empty the small amount inside my motor or does it self drain when I raise it up to store it?

Not thoroughly familiar with that particular motor, but usually, lifting out of the water will drain it sufficiently.. the more vertical it is when out of the water, the better.. I wouldn't run it out of the water more than 15-20 seconds to avoid frying the water pump impeller.. Your owner's manual might have a suggestion on how to drain it.
