In the past on this and other forums as well I have been negative of the TackTick Wind Instrument that I installed on our H40 over 4 years ago. So when good things happen I feel it is only fair to give credit where it is due. After fighting the battle of on and off performance I finally got fed up and e-mailed TackTick in England to tell them my tale of woe. I explained that the instrument had been back before for the same problem and that after six months of it working fine it went back to it's same erratic problems. They responded with an e-mail the very same day (that was some what amazing in itself) and explained that being it was over 2 1/2 years since the last repair they could not cover it under warranty but they would be willing to replace the masthead unit for $222 US and gave me a return authorization number to do so. They were quite certain that the problem was in the masthead piece, which leads me to believe they had seen this before. So I sent the unit off on a Wednesday and they returned a new unit to me the very next week by Thursday. The unit went to someplace here in the US and the return came from there as well. I did have to call England to give them a credit card number that I wasn't about to give in an e-mail. Including the call, which was handled very professionally as well, everything went and worked as advertised. The unit is up the mast and working as it should.

So kudos to TackTick, Simon, Mandy and the lady that answered the phone for their customer service.:)

We've been using TackTick for years with no problems. Nice to hear that the company was responsive and timely with help for you. Customer service is the name of the game.

my extensive experience was totally opposite. Numerous emails, phone calls failed to produce results for a 2 yr old instrument with a 60% reliability. Congratrs to you.
