The tachometer on my 1990 Hunter 335 just started jumping around...not reading right. Anybody ever see this. Elena Lua has 18hp 2GM engine.Cap'n BrentS/V Elena LuaSinger Island, FL
It happened on my 410. Would read extremely high for a while then drop to zero before settling down. Thought it was moisture, but it was the tach. Called Hunter for a replacement.BryceS/V SpellbinderH410
............ and discovered that the plug on the tach sensor (on the engine) was making less than perfect contact. Pulled the plug and wiped the contacts with fine emery and the tach hasn't given any trouble since.Hope your problem is as simple.Regards,s/v Island Hunter
