I need to replace my tachometer. It works but the needle sticks. I have a Hunter 1999 340. I have not taken it out yet, but does anyone know make model and where to get it. I have not called Hunter as yet. Thanks, Richard (Duke)

Check the Fuse First...
...that is in the wiring harness. I shorted mine last year with thr bail on the air/noise supression filter. It's a 30A Glass, tube fuse that controls the tach and idiot lights. It's tough to find, so look very good.

A blown fuse would also prevent the engine from being started. At least on my 3GMF it would. The fuse is also in line with the key switch and starter button which energizes the solenoid to start the engine. Torreson marine always comes up when I google Yanmar. Their link is included below.
