Tach Problems

My tachometer on my 2006 Hunter 31 was working fine one moment, then pegged itself over 5K without a change in engine RPM.

Any ideas what happened, and what the repair entails?

If your tach works off the alternator, then check for a loose wire or two behind the alternator. Happened to me just last week. I'm gettin' real good at the repairs.
