That is a shame. I thought mine was solid wood throughout. Guess perhaps it isn't. Could you get some teak veneer and re-laminate?

I think so... at least on the leafs... maybe I can mill the center board a bit thinner and relaminate it or epoxy a thin board to it, too!?

You can also get teak-veneered plywood-- search online. Tolerate nothing less than 1/2" --3/4" would be better for a table.

You might also consider something blond, such as beech or birch, which may *match* the holly in your cabin sole.

Just-- please-- don't shop at HoDePo or Lowe's for this. Find a proper boating material at a proper boating place.
