Under the table there is a bracket that sits on a post. I am missing something that makes the table tight on the post. Can anyone tell me what it is. Thanks, Pride

Well .....

On our Catalina, the table socket fits onto a post of about 4 inches in diameter which in turn fits onto a similar socket on the cabin sole. The sockets are tightened by a "Tee-handled" bolt. One tightens that tee-bolt which clamps the socket onto the post. Having said that, I've tried to find parts (including the socket itself) and have had NO luck whatsoever. Not much help, I know. If you find a source for parts, please let the rest of us know.

Pride,

You have the same dinnette table as I, and Gary was correct about the "T" handle tightening piece. Take a look at the fitting under the table and you will see the way it was constructed, two pieces come together via a tightening bolt to secure the table to the post. Painted beige?

If it were my table the first thing I would do is contact the Catalina factory in Fargo, Florida and see if they have one available. I believe it is stainless. If they do not, unscrew that fitting off the table, take the piece to your local hardware store and try to find a long enough bolt that will fit. If your handy enough and can weld a small "T" at the end it will make removal of the table alot easier over using a socket wrench. But then, how often do you remove your table?

Easy fix.............

Thanks Ditto, The table not being tight on the post, it is always woobley and moves up and down if you place your elbow on it. I will try to contact Catalina as you suggested, Thanks, Pride
