table leg

does anyone know where to get a reproduction or extra table leg, maybe have one from the original table you replaced? i am in the process of modifying the port side berth to accommodate a swing down table that will stow away a bit easier than the huge table that comes with her. But still like my old table for charting, as all other surfaces in the vega require folding the chart a million times.

I'm sorry to say that I don't know where you can get table legs or plans, but a few years ago I saw the table in the the Vega called Lorna Doone. That table was located where the normal Vega table is, but it folded in half length-wise. So there was always a table set up, but it didn't block the passageway. I thought it was a brilliant idea.

A metal fabrication shop that has a tubing bender can make you one. You could perhaps try bending one using and electrical conduit bender (rent it), but the stainless tubing could be too hard to bend w/a conduit bender.

Tubing benders use dies that are specific to the tubing size, so if you call shops they will want to know the outside diameter and maybe wall thickness of your tubing. You can buy short lengths of tubing online.

If you have any canvas shops in your area that make bimini tops and the like, they might be able to bend something for you as well. good luck -Tim
