Well I got my port upper shroud bulkhead tabbed in on my H30 finally. I didn't replace the whole bulkhead but cut out the old rotted section about 18" wide from the top cabin slot down to the settee. I decided just to go with 3/4" exterior ply sandwiched between layers of 1708 biaxle and coated the entire piece with resin. I used a foam spacer on the top but just left a 1/2 air gap between the inner hull wall and bulkhead instead of foam. I was able to hold the piece in place with screws while I tabbed it in. I used 1708 material for the tabbing. The big question is, I am only able the tab in the salon side of the bulkhead. I only have access to maybe an 8" section on the back for tabbing. I can access it through the storage shelf in the bathroom. Anyone see a problem with tabbing only one side?. Would adding extra thickness to the tabbing help.....plus widening the layers as I build it up?. I really hate to have to tear out the whole bathroom to get to the backside.
