any ideas on how to release the pin stop for the main sail? i cant pull up the knob to release it. the main hit the stop very hard. If i had to i could remove the track and use a punch to drive the pin out from the bottom.

have you tried lightly tapping the stop back in the opposite direction? It sounds like the pin is just angled slightly. If the pin is bent you have other problems.

If yours is like my 23, the holes for the pins don't go all the way through the track. You may have to take the track off, then work at it in the shop. If you have to destroy the stop to remove it, I'd consider an improvement that uses a single line to control the traveler position - look for Peter Suah's owner mods to see what it looks like. I added this to mine, and it is light years better - and if you have to remove the track anyway, that's half the work. I was lucky - I found a guy near me who has a basement full of used parts, so I got the cam cleat/block assemblies to go on the track ends for under $100 for the pair. I just had to grind down the track rail edge a tad to get them to fit.
