Hello,
T-Mobile recently rolled out a service that uses Starlink for essentials like weather, email, text. Curious if anyone has signed up and how it works near coastal or off-shore.

I signed up for a trial of the T-Mobile satellite. They installed an E-sim on my iPhone alongside of my existing Verizon E-Sim.
I could select which sim to use, and I used the T-Mobile sim for data.

I did not find the trial to be particularly spectacular. I don’t know if there are limitations on the satellite use (if i had any cellular signal, it would not use satellite?), but I never really saw any difference in how my phone worked. Still had dead spots listening to Sirius XM Radio on my phone (I assume it would be using the data sim for the music stream). I sail on Lake Michigan, and mostly have cell service where I sail. But there are some dead spots where I don’t get a cell signal.

It was a 30 day trial. Nothing earth-shattering for me, so once the trial was done, I removed the eSIM.
