I am the THRILLED new owner of a 1994 H26! I found a great deal in NJ. Drove up from Atlanta and hauled boat/trailer home 2 weeks ago. A labor of love and an easy breezy trip in a GMC Envoy. So very happy that I've dubbed her AND ordered the graphics to offically name her... Tickled Pink!!!!! And that, dear friends, is what I am!! I know you get it. You know you do!! I'm about to step the mast for the first time. Please tell me... do all shrouds/stays require installation of the black rupper t-ball fitting? I understand that uppers and lowers require the t-ball fitting. BUT... does the forestay w/cdi roller furling require installation of the black rubber t-ball fitting too? Thank you for indulging me. everything needs a tball

all the shrouds (upper/lower) and headstay need the rubber things stuffed in to keep the shrouds/headstay in while raising the mast, you also want to watch the turnbuckles and make sure they are straight, and not kinked during the raising process..My boat was missing some of the rubber goodies and I found an appropriate grommet that I cut in half and stuffed in there..4 launchings/retrievings and they are still holding

shrouds @ mast raising time

A good tip is to tie a sail tie around lifelines and shroud to keep turnbuckle from twisting and bending while you raise mast to keep them somewhat vertical. I bent a turnbukle or two until I learned this. Good luck. What did you pay for the 94 H26? I have a 96 that I bought in 2000. I don't believe I have anything rubber for rigging t-fittings. Once they are up, tension keeps rigging in. Does anyone have a picture?

You have to make your own Tballs?

Are they not sold through Hunter or a marine supply store? I am missing one but have had no troubles (YET) raising and lowering mast.

Sorry everybody. I tried to abort my previous attempt. The broker still has it listed on his website.

Good Deal

Sound like a pretty good deal. There is a 94 H26 for sale at our marina that the guy wants $15,000+ for and if it is the one I think it is, it isn't in as good a shape as the one in the ad. Lots of information in the archives. Spend some time reading the posts and you'll get lots of ideas. Congrats.

T ball plug sizing?

So how does one size these T ball plugs. I have a Hunter 26 with 3/16" wire. When it says a 3/16" plug, is that the correct size?

Congrats Jandelbert

That was a nice deal on the Hunter especially if that Honda classic was attached!, I got a 95 for 12K but did not care for the 8Horse 2 stroke nissan, so bid the price up with a new Tohatsu 9.8 4 stroke..but now I have remote controls at the wing chair, and that is a very good way to make parking these boats a breeze. I found my 95 trailer to be in less than wonderfull shape, the wood on the trailer was far gone with dry rot, so I replaced the bunks, check the link if interested, it is a simple job and can be done in 3-4 hours if you have the tools and materials arranged
