Switching to Mid-Boom Traveler

I'm looking to switch from end-boom sheeting (just hate it!) to mid-boom sheeting and adding a traveler over the cockpit. Your opinion - pos

Mike, what kind and size of boat?

I could not ask this question for reasons I don't know until I put a boat (field size) caption on the question. regardless of that what size and make?

There's been a lot of discussion on this topic with respect to the h27. You may want to do a quick search on h27 or traveller location and I'm sure you'll find it.

Michael O': If you contact Harken, their engineers can assess your situation. They will want some of the measurements from your boat and will tell you what they sell that will work on your boat.

Switching to mid boom traveler

Mike: i'd follow the advise of the shipmates that replied and check with others boat owners who had mad that modification. A lot of this stuff seems simple but ends up as an expensive and time consuming project. If you decide to strat the project, you should consider Garhauer Marine products. They are located in Upland, Ca and supply all the equiptment on Catalinas etc. When you call, ask for Guido or Mark and tell them Don Guillette ( Gillette like the razor blade ) told you to call. They are a wealth of info.
