Recently purchased 1970 Morgan 28 swing keel is stuck in the "up" position, and lowering mechanism seems rusted "frozen." Have you encountered this problem? How solved? Buzz
Removing pannel in center cabin deck, pully just aft of mast base frozen w/rust. Push rod rusted as well. Winch seems to be opeable, but hard to tell. I was told cutting into cabin deck would be necessary. Another advised using propane torch, non flammable penetrating oil and patience to free pully. What do you think?
