I purchased a Cat 25 last summer...It has a swing keel. Does anyone know how much my boat drafts? When should I change the cable for it? Finally, can I eliminate that humming noise when we are sailing? Is it the cable which is causing this?

Cat 25 Swing Keel
The Cat 25 draws about 5 ft, maybe 5'6" max. Change the cable when it starts to show signs of wear. The cable hums while sailing if there is still tension on it. Just lower the keel a little bit more and it should go away. Regards, Ted

Cable "hum"
Actually, I like the cable hum. It's sort of like the turbo whine in a sports car....confirmation that I'm going making good time. Steve
