Swing keel removal info please

I have bought a H23 1985. It is equiped with a swing keel.I've been checking all the forum without any success. Has anyone ever took it apart? I need to change the 2 ropes and can't see how to extract a pin in the keel. I don't know either if it can be done on the trailor.Any help would be greatly appreciated.ThanksJohnsfy911@hotmail.com

MacGregor sites have solutions

I have a Mac 25. there are many people with old Macs that have to deal with swing keel maintainence. I have found several sites with "do it yourself" solutions - in fact, I am dropping my keel this month. Plan on buying wood at home depot (exterior wood) - then proping up - remove trailer... set board down onto a "keel cradle" - ie, a modified Harbor Freight Dolly... pop the keel swing pin - and lift the boat. Can then pull the 700# keel out and do the keel maintaince/bottom maintainence work....--jerry
