I just bought a Cat22 and the pin lock for the swing keel is sealed up with (i think) bondo. Should I open it back up?

Yes, you ought to have a pin lock. Look real hard for it, sometimes folks don't see it has it is up under the ledge of the compartment just forward of the table. But if indeed the opening for it has been sealed, you will want to have a new bolt pin before you open it so it can be replaced so that water won't enter next time you sail. Use a good marine grease on threads to avoid a small leak that could follow with boldtin place.
