Ref. the earlier posts concerning swing keel line as a result of failing hardware - how do you change the swing keel line (I have a '94 H26) or is this not a do-it-yourself project ??

Keel line replacement

Unfortunately this is not a do it yourself project unless you have access to a boat lift. You have to drop the swing keel out of the boat to replace the line. Contact your nearest boat yard or Hunter Dealer and they can do it. I think it took them at least two hours (maybe three)of labor to do it. Richard Graef S/V Sandpiper

Line Replacement

This setup is the same as the 240, I changed mine the last time I did the bottom paint. It is pretty easy if the boat is on stands and you have two people, do not try it if you are just on the trailer. To remove the swing keel, you need to remove the bolt inside the cabin, it located I gues it is called the compression post, open the cover on the aft side and you will see the bolt, When removed the keel will fall out. You need to then remove the pin holding it into the metal bracket. Once the pin out you will have clear access. It took me less than an hour to change it. David SIMPLY MAGIC
