Swing Keel Info

I have a 1975 Hunter 30 with a swing keel. Just curious, was this an option or did most Hunter 30's come this way? Also how does this affect rating?

Hi Joe , don`t have the answer to your question, try putting it on the Cherubini post, maybe we can get an answer there. Permit me to add another one, How often/much is the swing keel put in use(lowered?), and does it make a difference in sailing?(Haven`t sailed mine YET!! Later Cecil
