We are new owners of a 216 and are looking for the right type of swim ladder for the boat. It can be permanently attached or on/off as necessary. Any ideas? Thanks!

Check in Archives

Andrea, search the archives on this forum. There have been several solutions there. Most have been within the last couple of months. Search in "2004" for the word "Ladder" and 216 as boat. Good luck!

H216 swim ladder

I have found the IDEAL swim ladder, which I now have installed on our 216. It's sold on Ebay by Outlaw Marine Surplus. Do a seller search for them and you'll find it. It's a telescoping unit, available as a 3 or 4 step (we got the 4 step model, 46" long extended). It's ruggedly built of stainless steel, and cost about $139. I have a couple of pix of the unit stowed, and deployed. If you E-mail me at:rcowgill@cfl.rr.com, I'll send them to you tonight when I get home. Bob

Another choice

Andrea, I haven't as yet added a swim ladder but after looking at the one on e Ebay, I think you should also consider a Windline available from West Marine and probably a lot of other places. It looks exactly like the Ebay one. You will need to add some shims to level whichever one you choose. Bill Perry
