Most if not all Hunters after the Cherubini designs (starting around 1983-4) have B & R rigs. They have swept back spreaders and no backstay, allowing more roach in the main, and a fractional forestay, making the foresail easy to handle.

I am no expert but yes the first early Hunter had backstays and small amount of swept back spreads and as Selden changed things up to inmast and with improved support for the mast they did away with backstay and added more to swept back spreaders too.
Selden did some changes to their system over the years and all good improvements for sure.
I saw these early model Hunters with swept back spreaders and back stays as I was looking for my first Sailboat.
