I toured a WWII sub in Baltimore and remember thinking, with a good machine shop, there wasn't a piece of equipment onboard that any machinist couldn't make, other than the batteries. The attending veteran in the galley agreed. So much has changed in such a short time.

Yes Will. There were s lot of machineshop parts. Some special welds. And also sorts of things that can go wrong.

The Swedish boat was simple but effective.
