Hi all Vega sailers
The original storm jib is: 5,70 meter luff, 2,64 m foot, 4,28 m leech - cloth weight 310 gram per square meter. It should be possible for you to convert the metric figures into foot, inches etc. (American conversions: 0.8 (oz per yard, with 28 1/2 in) = 34 gram per sq meter) , 5 meters = 16.40 Imp. feet. "What a mess, why don´t you go metric??"
I have a Harken Unit 0 furling gear myself, but my sailmaker has invented something that he calls "the furling link". It is a piece of sail cloth with an eyelet and a carbine hook - the luff part is made to fit the Harken profile. You will need as many "furling links" as the number of eyelets.
