Hi all,
Last Monday my 1991 Catalina 30 MKII survived the 80 mph gusts we got from a Nor'easter.... with just one ripped off cleat and a bent swim ladder.
Unfortunately, this past Thursday a 50' work boat came by and accidentally wiped out my bow pulpit. No glass damage, but the rail is mangled. The boat owner promised to make good on the replacement.
My question relates to the aft most mounting plates of this pultpit. I cannot find any access inside the cabin to the nuts unter the plate.
Can I assume the nuts are glassed into the deck? Or, do I need to make holes in my cabin overhead to gain access to the nuts?
Has anyone had the experience of changing this bow pulpit?
Thanks for any help.
Ralph
