I am getting ready to purchase a used boat that is located in Annapolis, MD. Any recommendations on a very thorough surveyor?

I've used Derek Rhymns of All boat surveys twice. Two years ago he surveyed my Catalina 30. Spent about 6 hours on the hard & sea trial. Gave a lot of additional info & tips during survey. Contact him at 410-268-4404.
You'll be lucky to get Derek--I like him too. But when I tried to get him for a friend three months ago, he was full up with insurance adjustment work resulting from Sandy. Maybe that's changed though. I can recommend Gale Browning of Hartoff Marine Survey Ltd too. She was the surveyor my friend hired, and I thought she was very thorough and helpful.
