We had a number of problems with our unit not cycling off. This caused us to run our engine an awful lot in our to maintain battery charge. While on our summer cruise to eastern LIS we contacted Gary at AB and told him of our problem. They had us stop at the local port and came out to check the unit. After an exhaustive search it was decided that the problem was the "black" box. This was after they had sent us a number of thermostats for both the freezer unit and frig, all of which did not solve the problem. After replacing the "black" box we shoved off and spent the night locally, only to have the problem continue. Next day went back and tried to fix again. Upon return to home port in Douglaston the problem was still there so Gary sent a new in-house produced "black" box which seems to have done the trick. Unit goes to 26 degress and shuts off and kicks back in at 31. Works like a charm. Both my wife and I were extremely impressed with the patience and support we recieved during the time of our problem. A lot of the replacement was done by myself and that kind of work is not my strength. Their whole team supplied diagrams that were very clear and easy to follow. What a pleasure it was to work with a firm that fully supports their product, does not blame the owner, listens to your concerns and solves the problem.
