I have a Super Cold Machine, water cooled, that just quit. Any thoughts on where to look first. Believe it's getting power. Any thoughts appreciated. Greg Groome

Maybe

This happened to me once with my watercooled A/C. What happened was, the water pump lost it's prime which in turn over heated the compressor and shut it down. Look for a reset switch on your unit and if you can get it to come back on you can go from there. You can also ohm-out the compreswsor to see if it has gone bad. If you need more specifics e me at Captronbob@yahoo.com and I'll tell you how to do it.

quit?

Greg, I need a little more information. There have been 2 versions of the SuperCold Machine. They are completely different electricly. The older version used a Framec brush compressor. The newer a Danfoss with an electronic control module. Neither have a reset. The Framec was protected by a thermal cutout which would reset itself. The Danfoss would cut out on high amp draw, but would restart when conditions improved. The Danfoss style also has a 15 amp fuse located on the module under a gray fuse cap. The thermostat can be bypassed on both versions by simply jumping the two thermostat wires together. If it still won't start, I need to know which style compressor you have to proceed any further.
