We need to recover our cabin cushions. Does anyone know of the best source for Sunbrella fabric? I recall seeing mention of people finding it for around $11.00 a yard, but I'm having trouble finding anything under $20/yd.
The price you see on the pages with the fabric is the 'suggested retail price'. Put the fabric in the "cart" and you will then see that it is a lot less and as good a price as I've seen anywhere. Don't forget that it also comes in two different widths.
Sunbrella also has lots of different fabrics from the canvas used for bimini's, sail covers, etc. to the material used for indoor and outdoor furniture. Which are you looking for?
My wife found most fabric stores sell Sunbrella cloth. We have a place called Fabricland and if you have a club membership you get 40% off. She got the cloth for about $12 per yard. For canvass you need a place like sailrite.
Since you are only doing the cabin cushions, and not the cockpit cushions, you don't need the sun protection of Sunbrella. I wouldn't spend the extra money. Shop for a cheaper upholstery fabric or other durable fabric and you should be fine.
Looks like we found a wholesale source for Sunbrella through a friend who works in the industry. Fingers crossed. It'll be under $10/yd if all goes well.
Most fabric stores carry outdoor furniture cloth and some carry sunbrella or "duck cloth" which is heavier and water repellent but if you can find sunbrella or duck cloth at 10 bucks a yard you should run to it.
I had all my interior cushions done in Cordura. It looks and feels similar to sunbrella but it doesn't have the UV protection. It's also a fraction of the cost.

PRP seats in Temecula CA. They build seats for off-road vehicles, and occasionally do other stuff. I've known the owner a long time and he's done a lot of custom stuff for me in the past. I brought the foam in cut to size and they covered them all for me. I'm sure they would do the same for others, but I'm thinking shipping to VA might kill the deal for you.
