Good Morning,
My dodger is pulling back where it connects/snaps to the front side below the Ising glass. The Dodger is about 5 years old (San Diego).
My first impression is to soak the Sunbrella and reconnect. Someone told me it might be the Ising Glass too.
Your thoughts?
Thanks. Bob

Yes, sunbrella can shrink, mine did and pulled out several of the pins that connect it to the deck.

My canvas guy said to loosen the bows in the frame to reduce the tension and snap all the snaps together and then push the bow back in to position to tension the canvas. Haven't tried that yet, as my dodger is getting repaired.

Try soaking it in water with some liquid fabric softener.

I saw this on a show called “Hack my life”.

Depending on how your dodger is constructed it could tension from the rear cockpit side via lashings to your cockpit. So you may have it over-tensioned. Loosen it, attach at the fore end and re-tension. The pins are notorious for coming loose in their fiberglass holes but there are larger thread sizes that may also be an answer. Set em with 5200.
