Added a bimini top to my boat a few years ago and found it made a big difference in the summer on the Chesepeake. As long as it dosn't get in the way of lines or gear...go for it. Ron

I made a bimini out of 3/4" aluminum tubing,

10oz duck canvas, and an old aluminum-frame from a lawnchair for the corners. Looks somewhat Berverly Hillbillies (c), but I have room to stand up straight and it REALLY beats sitting in the sun.
