Just not a lot of good options for sun relief at the helm of a 9.2A. So far my ventilated hat is the best, but I'd prefer more protection if I can get it.
I was strongly considering a Pro-Techt Mantis sun shade yesterday. I wrote down the measurements and took them to the boat. There is just no good way to mount a 33 x 55 shade to cover the helmsman, due to the aft main sheet, barring mounting it to the stern rail on just one side, which doesn't seem worthwhile, as two would be necessary to do the job. At that point placing a Bimini forward of the helm becomes more economically attractive, with perhaps some modifications af to proved the helmsman some relief.
I may order one of these to see if I can make any use of it. For $40 it may be worth trying.
