Sailing School or SeaBase

Two ideas: 1) your son and you could enroll in any of the good sailing schools together; or 2)see if any of the Scout Troops in your area have plans to go to SeaBase in Islamorada, Fl. You might even want to go as an adult advisor (see link below) If you go together it would be a special family event that you both will cherish for years.

Camp Seagull

There is a lovely camp near the NC town where I keep my boat called Camp Seagull. They also have a "sister" camp, Seafarer for girls. Gary

Mystic Seaport

My brother spent a few summers at the sailing school at Mystic Seaport. The kids get to live aboard the square-rigger Joseph Conrad. As I recall they have several levels by age and experience. He had a great time! www.mysticseaport.org or use the link below to go directly to the program description.

Cape Cod Sea Camps

I can't vouch for the camps, as I have no experience with them, but the link below will take you to their website. I live not too far from the camp, and it is on a beautiful bay front property. Might be worth an website explore. Roger C27 & Mabel Cape COd
