A couple of days ago, I pulled my 23.5 for the summer. Unlike those of you in northern climes, for whom winter is spent on the hard, winter is about our best sailing season in south Louisiana. But, Summer days here are brutal and the nights aren't much better. Overnighting in a jungle bayou, dripping in sweat, just ain't much fun. Add to that the extra effort in securing the boat for every hurricane threat makes letting the boat dry out for four months looks even better. So, I wish our Northern friends the delight of a wonderful sailing season...I'm sitting at home with the AC turned up.
