The people who were looking for these parts should ALWAYS try first,
Steve Birch of british vega assoc. or Vega Marin AB in sweden. It
saves all the hunting around. I have the Vega Marin catalogue and
they carry a lot of these odd parts. The best way to contact Vega
Marin is by fax, from north america it is 011 46 31 29 2449. They
will give you a quotation on price.
VDO sumlog cable is available from Vega Marin in lengths of 2 metres,
3 m, 4 m and 5 m, as part no. 6110, 6112, 6113, and 6114. They also
have the little propellor.
The window moulding is part no. 9360 for vegas up to no. 3168 and
9361 for vegas after that number. I bought moulding for all windows
a year ago, and price was 882 crowns or about $138 Canad or $87 U.S.
There is an installation tool for $37 U.S., part no. 9362. I do not
know exactly what the shipping cost would be for this because I
bought lifelines and some other stuff at the same time, but I would
guess shipping for the window stuff would be about $30 or 40 U.S.
You might not need to buy the installation tool. The glass people
who installed mine used a north american tool in preference to the
swedish one i had. However you definitely need such a tool to insert
the strip.
It is a good idea to get the right mouldings from sweden or britain
because they fit the vega fibreglas correctly. There was a message
here a couple of years ago that the closest north american moulding
was just a bit wrong in the size of the gap which could result in
leaks.
